Safaris are one of Botswana’s most popular attractions. Still, the wildebeest and zebra migration here remains one of the best-kept secrets in Africa. During summer, seen every year from Camp Kalahari, animals make the most of the water and grasses around the Chobe. When the land dries out in late November, and the rains begin to fall in Nxai Pan, the zebra begin to migrate 250km south towards grasses rich in nutrients. In the second migration, animals are also heading toward the grasses. However, the zebras are now accompanied by wildebeest and are moving east from the Boteti River, flowing south of the Okavango Delta.
