Experience half a day of informative discussions with Nelson Mandela’s ex-warder and close friend Christo Brand. Begin your journey at the iconic V&A Waterfront’s Jetty One, where prisoners boarded the ferry for their perilous trip to Robben Island. Visit the prison where Mandela served his time between 1982 and 1988, and Christo headed the Mandela prisoners. Depending on permission, continue to the house where he held meetings with the Commonwealth Eminent Persons Group in 1967. The tour also includes seeing Mandela’s former home in Bishopscourt and a signed copy by the author himself.
