Lion’s Head hike lasts around 2-3 hours. Your guide will direct you along the route, with incredible views as you wind around the mountain. A convenient start point is the parking area. From there, you can then climb to the summit – where sunsets are seen like nowhere else in the world. There are signs indicating the route, and most of it can be easily traversed on foot. Towards the summit, you’ll have to do a bit of rock scrambling, but the most daunting aspect is the metal ladders you’ll climb in order to get atop the sheer rock face. Enjoy your sundowner with amazing views on the Mother City before descending.
One should do this:
because the hike offers a great workout, and the views from the summit are well worth the trip. Atop its 669-meter summit, it offers magnificent city views, attracting many hiking enthusiasts.
