This wonderful fat bike ride is an opportunity to explore the vast sea of dunes with little impact on this fragile, natural habitat, making it the most ecological way to explore the desert. Your day starts with a cycle down memory lane past some of Swakopmund’s historic buildings and landmarks. You then head off into the dunes to take in the breath-taking scenery of the oldest desert in the world cycling up and down the dunes from which you will enjoy once in a lifetime views of desert, sea and Swakopmund. After a delicious picnic lunch on the beach, head back up to the top of the dunes to try your skills at some dune stand up or lie down sandboarding.
One should do this:
because riding a fat bike in the dunes, on the beach and through a historic tour of the town is an exhilarating and thrilling experience.
